Knot Tying

Summer equals weddings; there’s something about “tying the knot” when it’s hot. I haven’t been to many over the years, but recently had a different perspective as a best man. The groom, Todd Tremeer, and I go back almost twenty years. We shared life paths with an uncanny similarity over the years. So, when it came time to collect my thoughts for my best man speech there were lots of memories to choose from. I really enjoyed reflecting on those years hanging out with Todd. My thoughts took me back to Florence, Italy and Guelph and back to our hometowns here in Durham. Some great flashbacks!

Be a Best Man: it’s one of those things I can now strike off my “Life’s To-Do List.” Todd has lots of friends and I’m truly honoured that he thought of me in this important role. It’s an honour to be “Tremeer’s peer” —thanks, man. I hope your days with Julie are as blissful as was your wedding day!
